This month we are featuring local artist Melanie Norris. Mainly known for her beautiful portrait work, she’s now evolved her body of work into a new series full of textures and colors resembling the landscapes surrounding her new studio space. Her recent work is being displayed at Tyger Tyger Gallery in the River Arts District.

This month we are featuring NC local artist Ann Zelle. Ann is an artist whose work has been exhibited in national museums and galleries and published in The Creative Camera, Legacy of Light, Darkroom Photography, The Diana Show, Photographic Possibilities, Daily Rag & Washington Newsworks, Mother Jones, Village Voice, and The Washington Post. In 2007 she retired to Western North Carolina, where she has continued her creative work as a sculptor in welded metals and ceramics.

This month we are featuring local artist  Aaron Hill whose a painter and illustrator that focuses on portrait and figurative art. He is best known for his unique, artistic take on recreating vintage photos and print collectibles such as sports cards. Aaron follows his art wherever his mind may take him. He’s not necessarily tied down to a certain style or subject.
