Recent projects: large-format printing for Erik Sumption

Recently, Erik Sumption came to Dot Editions to make large-format, archival pigment prints. The photographs are selections from  his book Surface: From Dahab to Tokyo.

Erik traveled for seven months from Dahab, Egypt, to Tokyo, Japan, traversing the land and sea using any means of transportation on the surface of the earth. From the introduction in his book, Erik writes:

"This trip was about exploring the earth's surface, physically and socially, and seeing how other people live their lives. I was interested to see if our similarities are greater than our differences, and to understand our connections to each other."
