The Gallery: Ann Zelle's Remember When... Reboot
As everyone has experienced, things have been quiet these past few months. We temporarily closed our studio and The Gallery doors end of March operating by appointment only, but enjoyed the occasional visit from clients. Thank you all!
Right before COVID-19 hit you may remember we were gearing up for the launch of Ann Zelle’s beautiful show Remember When… We had the walls painted, 33 works framed and hung, the lighting dialled in, and Ann joined a radio interview discussing her career in photography and promoting the show just days before launch. Then everything stopped.
A lot of time and work went into creating this show, and while we are still taking the necessary precautions and not able to have an official opening, we want to provide you with the opportunity to learn more about Ann’s celebrated career and enjoy this beautiful body of work.
You can do so in the following ways:
1. VISIT THE GALLERY!
We still want people to be able to see the show, and would like to invite you to stop by. We are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of those who visit, including appointment-only viewing, limiting capacity to no more than four people in The Gallery at a time, and asking that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
The Gallery will be open Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and the show will now run through the end of September. Please book a time to visit .
2. VIEW HOME SCHOOL’S JULY 9TH SESSION
An initiative started by Colby Caldwell, Home School is a program hosting online talks, conversations, workshops, and other lively situations that connect us as we shelter apart. On July 9th we joined Colby along with Ann for a review of her show and a discussion on her life’s work in photography. View the session below:
3. PICK UP ASHEVILLE MADE’S AUGUST ISSUE
The team at Asheville Made visited Ann’s studio prior to the outbreak to sit down for an interview and photograph her space. Look for the August issue available around Asheville at the beginning of the month.
We hope you all can take advantage of one of these ways to get to know Ann’s work, and feel free to reach out with questions about the availability of work or to set up a time to stop by.
